Day 1: Tangier - Chefchaouen

We will start our 10-day tour itinerary from Tangier to Chefchaouen from your accommodation. One of our drivers will come to pick you up at 8 am. Then, we will drive along the coast, passing by the new port of Tangier, and offering you a panoramic view of Gibraltar. Our journey continues towards the blue-hued city of Chefchaouen nestled in the picturesque Rif Mountains. As we traverse the scenic route, we will make stops along the way, giving you the opportunity to hike to the mesmerizing Cascades d’Akchour, also known as the Waterfalls of Akchour.

Day 2: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fez


After enjoying a delightful breakfast at the riad, we will set off towards Volubilis, passing through Wazan and other charming Rif villages. At Volubilis, you will have the chance to explore the fascinating Roman ruins and learn about the historical and archaeological significance of this Moroccan site. From there, our journey takes us to the imperial city of Meknes, known for its 17th-century heritage. We will stop for lunch and wander around the historical walls of the medina, marveling at the architectural marvels like Bab El Mansour and visiting Moulay Ismail’s shrine. After exploring Meknes, we will drive directly to Fez, where you will spend the night in a beautiful riad.

Day 3: Exploring Fez


Prepare to immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Fez, the oldest city in Morocco. Our exploration begins by visiting the Royal Palace gate, followed by a visit to the Jewish quarter and the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, dating back to the 16th century. You will have the opportunity to visit culturally and historically significant sites, including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest university in the region. The tour continues with visits to the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Mulay Idriss mausoleum. Each step will reveal the rich heritage and traditions of this captivating city.

Day 4: Fez - Ifrane - Merzouga


Our journey takes us southeast through the middle Atlas, starting with a visit to Ifrane, often referred to as “Little Switzerland” due to its picturesque alpine architecture. We continue our drive south, passing by charming towns and providing you with glimpses of nomads living in tents along the way. Our next stop is Midelt, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch. Continuing our drive, we traverse the stunning Tizi N’Talghomt Pass (1907m), offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. We will make a stop for a breathtaking view of Aoufous palmeraie along the Ziz River. As the day comes to an end, we will arrive at the captivating dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga.

Day 5: Merzouga – Toudra Gorge – Dades Valley


Witness the mesmerizing sunrise over the Sahara dunes before enjoying breakfast and returning to our Hotel or Riad by camel. We then embark on a journey through Rissani, Alnif, and the Todra Gorge. The gorge offers a spectacular rock canyon, and we will take a short walk to admire its natural beauty. Following our exploration, we continue to the enchanting Dades Valley, where you will have the opportunity to admire the stunning scenery and spend a memorable night.

Day 6: Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakesh


After a satisfying breakfast, we travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley, known as the way of the thousand kasbahs, offers numerous opportunities to capture the beauty of Morocco through your lens. We will make a stop at the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah for lunch and explore this UNESCO World Heritage site, which has served as a backdrop for many renowned movies. As we continue our journey, we will cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains, passing by panoramic views and charming Berber villages, until we reach the vibrant city of Marrakesh.

Day 7: Exploring Marrakesh


Awake in Marrakesh, the vibrant “Ochre City,” ready to explore its captivating sights. Start your day with a visit to the Majorelle Garden, a tranquil oasis named after the French painter Jacques Majorelle. Continue to the Menara Gardens, known for their stunning pavilion and olive groves. Explore the bustling medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and discover its hidden treasures, including the famous Koutoubia Mosque and the Bahia Palace. Immerse yourself in the sensory overload of the souks, where you can find an array of handicrafts, spices, and traditional goods. Experience the unique blend of old and new that makes Marrakesh so enchanting.

Day 8: Marrakesh


Begin your second day of exploring Marrakech with a visit to the renowned Koutoubia Mosque, known for its magnificent minaret, which can be seen from various parts of the city. Next, discover the exquisite El-Bahia Palace, a stunning example of Moroccan architecture adorned with intricate ceramics. The palace’s trapezoidal garden and tiled courtyard will captivate your senses. Our next destination is the Saadian Tombs, a revered archeological site housing over one hundred mosaic-decorated tombs. Experience the beauty of Moorish architecture at the Musee De Marrakech, where elaborate archways, stunning stained glass, and an impressive ceramic collection await. Day 9: Marrakesh - Casablanca


After a delightful breakfast at your hotel, we will depart for Casablanca. Upon arrival, our tour includes an exterior visit of the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, an architectural masterpiece overlooking the Atlantic coast. You will then embark on a panoramic tour of the city, exploring its corniches and taking in the coastal beauty. Finally, we will transfer you to your hotel in Casablanca for a relaxing evening.

Day 10: Casablanca - Mohamed V Airport


On the last day of your journey, enjoy a delicious breakfast before transferring to Casablanca International Airport for your final departure, according to your flight schedule. Hassan exceeds expectations not only as a guide but also as a compassionate, patient individual whom we thoroughly enjoyed spending time with. His proficiency extends beyond guiding; he exhibits careful driving skills throughout our journey.
As a family of four with children aged 8 and 11, we embarked on an unforgettable adventure. Beginning with a ferry ride from Spain to Tangier, we proceeded to Chefchaouen for a night’s stay. Our exploration continued with two nights in Fes before venturing into the mesmerizing Merzouga desert. From there, our path led us through Boumalne Dades, Ouarzazate, and finally, Marrakech.
Throughout our travels, we savored numerous stops at bustling souks, historical landmarks, and captivating points of interest. Despite the packed itinerary, the abundance of scenic beauty and diverse landscapes ensured that every moment felt enriching rather than overwhelming.
